We encourage our children to wear their uniform proudly every day, except on pre-arranged non-uniform days.  It gives us a sense of belonging and means we can be identified by our teachers when on trips and other events. 

Please ensure all items of uniform are clearly labelled. Unnamed items are difficult to re-home and may end up in the lost property box.

Daily uniform:

• Grey trousers/skirt/pinafore (girls can wear grey tailored trousers in the winter)
• White shirt or polo shirt*
• Black shoes (pick a style that your child can fasten themselves - a Velcro  fastening is often a good choice)
• Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo*

PE Kit

• Black shorts*
• Burgundy polo with the school logo*
• White socks
• Plain trainers
• Plain black joggers if it's cold

Other Items

Water bottle – filled with water, not juice, please.

A warm, waterproof coat. (We try to venture out even in rain!)

Forest School clothing

For Forest School, all children must have the correct clothing to protect against cold and rain, as well as nettles and thorns. Our stocks of spares are very limited, and we can't allow children to take part if they are wearing inappropriate clothing.

Forest School kit can be kept at school; we will send it home for a clean if it gets really muddy!

It is easiest to wear PE kit underneath the following:

• Waterproof coat
• Waterproof trousers
• Wellies that fit
• Optional layers such as fleeces, extra socks for the winder months, as Forest School happens in all weathers!

​For health and safety reasons, jewellery is not permitted in school with the exception of stud earrings. Children will be asked to remove stud earrings for PE or to tape them up.

Watches may be worn.

Personal items in school

We discourage children from bringing any personal items into school. This includes pencil cases, toys, games, activity books, footballs or other sports equipment. It also includes activity trackers or smartwatches.

These items can be distracting if used in lesson time. Teachers will ask children to leave them somewhere safe for the duration of the school day if they are distracting children from learning.

In the playground, we aim to provide children with a good range of activities and games. Items brought in from home can cause upset if lost or broken. If you would like to donate items to the school, please speak to your child's teacher. 

The school is not responsible for any items that are brought to school that are not deemed necessary or approved by the school.
